The theme is more about the method of composition than the subject of the content, though that's present too; the 'Bohr' album was our most discreet, poppy and tightly programmed tracker album at that point, while the 'Bohm' album explored a new technique of building up live improv recordings of drum machine and keyboard tracks, often rerecording them over top and merging tracks (hence the wave nature). The new technique also a gave us a chance to throw a couple nods towards our influences in Autechre, Plaid, Prefuse 73-style glitch-beat IDMness.
The album names and theme were hard to pass up when we realized the two most prominent scientists in the two major schools of quantum mechanics (one decidedly particle-based, the other predominantly wave-like) were named Niels Bohr and David Bohm (respect). Last names separated by a fraction of a letter - too sweet. The covers reflect the themes (as usual) and even feature a stylistic throwback to Clean & Clear. Enjoy. The end is nigh.
